1. How do I reach Divers Lodge Lembeh?

Divers Lodge Lembeh is conveniently located just an hour and fifteen minutes away from the Sam Ratulangi International Airport in Manado. Currently, international flights operated by Scoot from Singapore arrive on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Flights from Denpasar, Ternate, Surabaya, and other cities also reach Manado, although they often include one or more stops.

2. Which projects do I contribute to by staying at one or more of your resorts?

By choosing to stay with us, you’re supporting our four Kindergarten schools, our adult education center, our forest conservation program, and other foundation activities.

3. Is electricity available 24 hours a day? Are there hot showers and air conditioning?

Yes, we provide round-the-clock electricity at Divers Lodge Lembeh. All our bathrooms are equipped with western-style flush toilets and hot showers. Three of our bungalows, namely Soa Soa, Penyu, and Musang, have air conditioning. Our power outlets are of the European Bi-pin type, but we do have adapters available if needed.

4. Is there an internet connection?

Yes, we offer free WiFi in the lounge/restaurant area, and in the Bungalows. If necessary, you can use one of our computers in the office. We can also assist you in printing your flight tickets, itineraries, etc.

5. How can I make payments?

We accept cash in Indonesian Rupiah, and transfers to our bank account in the Netherlands in Euros, as well as transfers to our bank in Indonesia in Euros, US dollars, and Rupiah. Payments via Wise are also accepted. You can make the payment at the end of your stay, and you’ll only be charged for the dives you actually completed.

6. When is the best time to visit Lembeh?

Diving in Lembeh is great all year round. In July and August, the water temperature drops slightly to around 25-27°C, but many critters come up to the shallower areas. From October until May, we can also visit the dive sites at the South West and South side of Lembeh Island.

7. Is there a limit to the dive time or the number of dives?

There is no limit to the dive time, as long as decompression stops are not needed. The number of dives is limited to 5 dives a day, from 07:30 to 20:00.

8. Is there a risk of malaria in the area?

While there is never a 100 percent guarantee with malaria, we have never had any malaria cases among our guests in Lembeh. The bungalows can be kept free of insects very easily, and we provide mosquito repellent in each bungalow.

9. How is the diving organized?

You have the freedom to dive whenever and wherever you want, without a dive time limit. We provide a private boat, and a 2 divers to 1 guide ratio, with an optional additional guide surcharge available. You can also have breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the boat. Dives are catered to your personal preference, as long as it follows our rules.  You can find out more about the diving rules here, and more about the diving here.

10. Is Nitrox available?

Yes, we offer Nitrox 28– 35 at IDR 65.000 per tank.

11. How do I secure a reservation?

We’re happy to hold a temporary reservation for you for one week. To confirm this reservation, please provide us with a copy of your flight itinerary. If you need additional time to arrange your itinerary, please let us know. You can make the payment at the end of your stay, and you’ll only be charged for the dives you actually completed. 12. Is there a single surcharge?

We do not have single surcharges for four of our rooms: Tupai, Paniki, Tarsius, Rajawali. However, we do have a single surcharge for Musang, Soa Soa, Penyu, Kura Kura which costs IDR 300.000 per night.

13. Where is the nearest hyperbaric chamber?

The nearest hyperbaric chamber is in Bitung, which is a 15 – 20-minute boat trip from the resort, then another 10 to 20 minutes by car.

14. Are children welcome?

Yes, children are very welcome. We have professional babysitters available full time upon request.

15. Is there still a COVID-19 vaccination requirement to enter Indonesia?

As of the 16th of June 2023, there is no longer an entry requirement to enter Indonesia with a COVID-19 vaccination. You can find the COVID-19 Law Regulation Update on this link

16. What are the daily flights from major cities in Indonesia and Singapore to the nearest airport, “Bandara Sam Ratulangi Manado/Menado” (MDC)?

International flights operated by Scoot arrive from Singapore on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Manado, being a hub for North Sulawesi, services many daily domestic flights from Makassar and Jakarta. However, flights from other cities usually involve transits.

17. How can I get a VISA for Indonesia?

Getting a VISA for Indonesia is now relatively easy. You can do it online through the official government molina imigrasi visa site, on this link. Alternatively, you can get it on arrival at the airport.

18. What languages can the staff at Divers Lodge Lembeh communicate in?

All of our dive guides can speak English, and some of our other staff too. The owner and manager of the resort, Rob Sinke, can speak English, Dutch, French, German, and Indonesian. And if needed, we can use Google Translate.

19. How can I arrange for pickup from the airport or from another resort in the area?

You can send us an email at info@diverslodgelembeh.com if you’d like to arrange a transfer from the airport or another resort, for example from Bunaken or Bangka. The details about the pricing of transfers are available on our prices page, or on this link.

20. What is the process if I prefer to use local transportation?

While it can be difficult and complicated, especially if you have a lot of luggage, we recommend our own transfers and transportation. However, if you decide to use local transportation, services like Grab and Indrive are readily available throughout the province. We can then arrange a boat transfer from the harbor of Ruko Pateten in Bitung, to Divers Lodge Lembeh.

21. What is the average temperature at Lembeh?

The maximum daytime temperature here is 33°C, and the minimum nighttime temperature is 25°C. At Divers Lodge Lembeh, due to our location, the temperature often feels cool, thanks to the common breeze and wind.

22. Can I make payments with credit/debit cards?

No, unfortunately we cannot process credit or debit card transactions at this time.

23. What does “private boat” mean?

When we say “private boat,” we mean that each guest or group is provided with exclusive use of one of our dive boats, operated by our staff. You won’t be sharing the boat with other guests unless you choose to do so.
