The Village of Dorbolaang at Lembeh Island | North Minahasa Tours

From Divers Lodge Lembeh you will be taken by boat to Walenekoko village where you can start hiking. From there you can decide where to go, and if decide to use a guide then you can give requests on what you’d like to see. Be it birds, insects, snakes, or just to see the landscape and villages that Lembeh has to offer.

The following villages you may visit include: Walenekoko, Pasirpanjang, Doorbolang, Batu Lubang, Papusungan, and Pulau Abadi.

Lembeh Island is at a length of 25km, you can cross the entire island from one side to the other in roughly 5-6 hours if you decide to walk at a normal pace, however that will be a very long trip and you’ll be back at the resort quite late, that reference is just for overall scale. Still though, you can do it, if you want to.

When to go, and how is it organized?

You can go at whatever time you like, however it is best at morning from 07:00 to 09:00. Using a small boat we’ll bring you to Walenekoko Village’s port across the lagoon from the resort, when you arrive there are several roads that lead to different villages and areas of Lembeh Island, your route is entirely up to you, you can also simply ask for the guide to lead the way! If you decide to go without a guide we recommend using Google Maps for directions. The boat will wait for you until you decide to return to the resort.
